AJ’s in Bergland makes U.P. ‘best of’ list

BERGLAND — AJ’s Lodge and Oven on the North Shore of Lake Gogebic has been recognized as one of Michigan’s ‘Red Hot Best’ — a list of top restaurants in northern Michigan and the U.P., put together by MyNorth.com. 

AJ’s is a family-owned business who purchased the resort in 2012. In 2019, they broke ground on their new lakeside restaurant. They opened the doors to their new restaurant on July 1, 2020, just months into the Covid-19 pandemic. 

“Our guests are what keeps us moving forward and we’d never be here today without the continued love and support of our team and our faithful and loyal fans,”, said Anthony DeFazio, general manager of AJ’s.
