IRON COUNTY - The Iron County Band Camp will be held at Camp Batawagama June 16-22. All accepted students (notified by email) should arrive at camp Sunday, June 16 and register between 2 - 4 p.m. Campers may begin moving into their cabins during this time.
In the past 65 years The Iron County Youth Camp have been privileged to host the most amazing program for the teaching of music to middle and high school band students in the Upper Peninsula. Our students have the opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors and musicians in the country. At the end of one week of Band Camp the students will have completed over 60 hours of musical instruction in the form of full band rehearsals, sectional sessions, private lessons and clinics. Students emerge from this Band Camp, not only with a greater proficiency on their instrument but with a greater understanding for music and a true sense of accomplishment.
The Band Camp Faculty Concert will be held June 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Friends Hall at Camp Batawagama, reception to follow. The Iron County Band Camp Concert will be held June 22 at 4 p.m. at the Forest Park Gymnasium in Crystal Falls.
