IRON RIVER – The Bump’s Burgers owner, Greg Scott along with his staff volunteered their time on Thanksgiving Day to serve take-home or dine-in-meals to anyone who needed a meal in the community.

“I love cooking and making delicious food for people to enjoy, thank you to all those that got to eat,” said Scott, who is also the head chef. “I look forward to many more great Thanksgivings in my future at Bump’s.”

Of the 248 meals served to individuals and families this year, 89 were delivered by volunteer drivers. Those meal deliveries went to homes for families to enjoy, as well as to businesses open and staffed by essential workers who didn’t have the opportunity to cook or enjoy a meal with their family.

This year, Bump’s served almost 100 more meals than it did Thanksgiving of 2022. The meals are put on by the restaurant’s staff as well as volunteer meal preppers and drivers, along with the help of community donations.
