Once again the Friends of the West Iron District Library (WIDL) will hold its used book sale and bake sale in conjunction with rodeo festivities. Both events will take place during Market Day on Friday, July 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The book sale will be held outside in front of the library with the bake sale being held inside the library.
Donations of gently used books, in fair to good condition, are being sought from the public for the fundraiser. The following types of books will be accepted: fiction, non-fiction, in both paperback and hard-cover, children’s books, cookbooks, westerns, gardening, craft and inspirational books. However, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed, Harlequin romances and magazines will not be accepted. Books may be dropped off at the library between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. beginning Friday, June 30 through noon on Thursday, July 6. Books will be viewed at the time of drop-off.
Donations for the bake sale are also welcome. Those who wish to donate baked goods can drop them off in the library conference room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 6 and between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Friday, July 7. Please label baked items and state whether or not they contain nuts.
