CRYSTAL FALLS – Forest Park High School students participated in a Health and Wellness Day on Dec. 18. Seven different community groups and volunteers made presentations throughout the day. Phil Gardipee from North Pointe discussing mental health, Trooper Basanese from the Michigan State Police discussing the risks of driving under the influence, Bellin Health and our school nurse, Ms. Ashley, discussing healthy body and healthy mind, Dickinson Iron Health Department discussing services offered, Caring House discussing domestic violence and resources available and Bob from GLRC discussing Community and Tracy Johnson from GLRC discussing stress management.

It was a great day for everyone and a lot of topics were covered. We can’t thank the community volunteers enough for giving up their time to help our students.
