IRON RIVER — The Bates Hall Preservation Society will host several fundraising events for the restoration and renovation of the 1907 Bates Township Hall.
The Society will be at the Windsor Spring Craft Show on April 9. There will be a raffle opportunity, with a variety of prizes available. Tickets are $3 each or $5 for two.
Currently, the Society is working with the Three Rivers Spring Flower Bulbs to sell bulbs through a direct online sale.
The bulbs are sent directly to the consumer. If interested, visit the Society Facebook page: Bates Hall Preservation Society. The fundraiser ends April 9.
In addition to previous said events, the BHPS will host a rummage sale on July 1 and 2 at the Bates School located on US Hwy 2. Any items that are donated can be brought to the school on June 30.
Another fundraiser is the sale of engraved bricks/tiles which will be installed at the Hall complex. The cost is $50 for any individual, organization, or business.
To order a blank brick or tile, contact Sue Passamani at 906-265-4771 or email at dspass116@gmail.com. Interested persons can also go to their Facebook page, the Iron County Chamber, or go to the Bates Township Hall office.
