FLORENCE, Wis. — The Wisconsin Well Woman Program, Florence County Health Department, and Marshfield Clinic are partnering to provide breast cancer screenings to women in rural areas of Wisconsin on Wednesday, April 13.
The Mobile Mammography Unit will be parked at NWTC Aurora from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. “This event is for all women and is answering a need for services to be available to women who may not be able to take an entire day off for travel to essential screenings,” said Ann Huntoon, RN, Northern Regional Coordinator of The Wisconsin Well Woman Program.
“This program serves women ages 45-64 who live in Wisconsin and who are uninsured or under-insured and also meet the program limits for income,” said Huntoon.
While any woman may receive a mammogram, those qualifying women who wish to enroll in the WWWP may do so on-site the day of the event. Call 800-942-3822 or 715-221-6086 to register.
To learn more about WWWP and for enrollment prior to the event, please contact Ann Huntoon, RN, Northern Regional Coordinator at 715-369-6119 or e-mail ahuntoon@co.oneida.wi.us.
