CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls District Community Library has an exciting event to announce.  On Friday, Jan. 14 at 1p.m. there will be a Global Explorer Story Hour about Alaska.  Children will be learning about the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.  The books that will be read are ‘If You Were a Kid at the Iditarod’ by Josh Gregory, ‘Painter and Ugly’ by Robert J. Blake, and ‘The Great Serum Race:  Blazing the Iditarod Trail’ by Debbie S. Miller.  For a STEM activity, children will graph the distance between checkpoints on the trail.  The library is located at 237 Superior Avenue, and all are invited to attend!
Two Adult Reading Challenges at the Crystal Falls District Community Library!
Are you a reader?  Or maybe you have not been reading, and would like to pick it back up?  Make reading more one of your 2022 New Year Resolutions, and try one or both of the CFDC Library’s reading challenges:
Challenge One:  Try Winter Reading Bingo.  Pick up a bingo card and read the books that meet the criteria on the Bingo Card by March 19 (the last day of winter).  All who complete the challenge by at least getting one bingo on their card—will receive a prize!
Challenge Two:  Read 50 books this year, and use the 2022 Reading Challenge to assist you.  It gives you neat ideas of books to read.  Turn in your complete list of 50 books by Dec. 31, 2022, and you will receive a Coffee Mug with our Library’s new logo (made by Ella Gasperich, FP student).
