Crystal Theatre welcomes the New Year with two January events

CRYSTAL FALLS – Sat., Jan. 14, at 7 p.m., the audience can enjoy a blast from the past with the romantic comedy Grease and sing along with its iconic music. The film depicts the lives of greaser Danny Zuko and Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson, who develop an attraction for each other during a summer romance. Starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as Danny and Sandy, the film is rated PG-13. A $5 donation is requested at the door. Crystal Theatre’s managing director Kristin Underhill says, “ break out your poodle skirts, your Pink Ladies jackets, ducktail your hair and come join the fun!”
On Jan. 19 at 7 p.m., the Third Thursday event will be “An evening of the arts.” Pianist Phil Lynch takes the stage for the first half with his joyful mix of life-affirming songs and good cheer. A retired full-time educator, Phil Lynch, has been delighting audiences for over 30 years. 
The second half of the program features unconventional dramatic readings.  Tickets are available for $10 at the door, cash only.
GEM of a Season ticket packages are currently on sale at the “early bird” price, effective until Jan. 31. New this year is a half season ticket, offering four shows of your choice; full season tickets include eight shows.
