Florence County Fair

FLORENCE, Wis. - Make plans to attend the 119th annual Florence County Fair Aug. 25-27. The Fair kicks off on Friday with a Flag Raising Ceremony followed by Garden Tractor Pull put on by the U.P. Garden Tractor Puller’s Association at 5 p.m. Come to the fair a little early and plan to have dinner at the fair while enjoying karaoke with Vicky’s Karaoke, and then stay for Kyndrid from 7 - 11 p.m.
Saturday at the fair brings a day jam packed with events and activities starting when the Mud begins to fly at noon for the Mud Bog/Run. Saturday also has a full slate of music which includes a karaoke contest featuring Vicky’s Karaoke from 4 - 7 p.m., and returning a Florence County Fair Favorite, Next Myle, will take the stage from 7 - 11 p.m. Other activities on Saturday include Magic Shows, Air-powered Rocket Workshops, RC Racing, Old Fashioned Kids games, and exhibit items on display throughout the day, crafters, vendors and plenty of fair food. 
Sunday is the final day of the fair and begins with a Classic Car and Motorcycle Show. Sunday’s music features the return of crowd favorite, when Lovin’ Country takes the stage at 11 a.m. After last year’s debut success, the Pony Pull will return this year and be held at 1 p.m., prior to the draft horse pull. Lovin’ Country will take the stage again between the Pony Pull and the Draft Horse Pull, which begins at 3 p.m. Awards are given out for the Car Show at 2 p.m. The draft horse pull will take a brief pause to lower the flag at 4 p.m.
New this year, Mr. D’s Inflatables will be at the fair for the entire weekend. Also new this year, on Sunday will be a Wisconsin Arm Wrestling competition. Weigh-ins opening at 11 a.m. In addition to their super matches, there will be contests for kids, amateur and then ladies and men’s open with prizes for first - third.
