CRYSTAL FALLS - Gracie Peterson is the recipient of the 2022 Gordon and Patricia Marcinak Scholarship in the amount of $17,000. She is attending Bellin College for nursing in Green Bay, Wisconsin. 
The Forest Park Foundation started in 2017 to further support the mission of the FP school and provide scholarships for graduates pursuing higher education. The foundation has a separate board from the Forest Park Board of Education. Gordon and Patricia Marcinak were the first donors to the Foundation. The Foundation has grown from $35,000 in 2017 to almost $1,000,000 in 2023. 
The Foundation Board is strictly volunteers with the following members: Britt Brozak (Secretary), Jamie Krueger (Marketing), Becky Waters (President), Kathy Stankewicz (Treasurer), Jim Nocerini (Board member Representative), Stacy Gasperich (member), Daryl Water (member) and Christy Larson (Superintendent). Ryan O’Grady from Edward Jones is the Forest Park Foundation Financial Advisor. 
Active scholarships include Kim Shamion scholarship, The Tuchowski Scholarship, Bonnie and Glen Westin Scholarship, Gordon and Patricia Marcinak Scholarship, Mercedes and Cassandra Liscomb Scholarship, Susie Broman Scholarship along with a pending scholarship from an estate in Virginia that will be distributed in 2023. The Erickson scholarship has also been awarded in the past.
The FP Foundation has two types of scholarships-investment scholarships and one-time yearly scholarships.
