CRYSTAL FALLS — The Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library are hosting a Silent Auction to support activities at the Crystal Falls Library. The highest bidder gets to name a character in an upcoming novel by local author James M. Jackson.
Jackson’s seventh book in the Seamus McCree series, Granite Oath, is set in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and has a planned publication date of August 2022.
In addition to naming a character in Jackson’s new book, the bidder’s donation will also be acknowledged in the Author Notes at the end of the novel. Participants may use their own name, nickname, or someone else’s name with proof of permission. Jackson makes no guarantees regarding the attributes of the written character.
Bidding has already begun and closes when the annual meeting of The Friends begins on June 25 at 10 a.m. The winner will be announced at the end of the meeting.
All proceeds from the auction go to support the Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library. Check, Cash or PayPal payment required.
