IRON RIVER — The Friends of the West Iron District Library announced that the annual used book sale, cancelled last year due to the Covid pandemic, will once again take place in conjunction with the 2021 rodeo festivities and market day.
The sale will take place on Friday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. outdoors in front of the library. Some select items will be on sale inside the library.
Book donations for the fundraiser are being sought from the public.
The following types of books will be accepted: fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, cookbooks, westerns, hardcover, paperback, craft, gardening books and more. However, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed, Harlequin Romances, magazines and religious materials will not be accepted.
Books may be dropped off at the library from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, July 12, through Thursday, July 15. Books will be viewed at the time of drop-off. Gently used books in fair to good condition will be appreciated.
All proceeds earned from the used book sale will be used to support library programs and events.
For more information, call the library at 265-2831.
