IRON RIVER – The Iron Area Health Foundation (IAHF) recently coordinated a meeting of local agency officials to discuss the topic of mental health and suicide prevention in Iron County.  
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss collaboration among agencies in providing support and education to the youth and the adult community in the area regarding mental health, well-being, resilience and suicide prevention. 
The group discussed speakers, programs, support services and financial resources to address this topic. 
The Iron Area Health Foundation shared with the group that the Foundation will be sponsoring the presentation “Do It for Daniel” for the students at West Iron County and Forest Park and the adult community during the month of February. 
This presentation addresses the topic of Mental Health and Suicide prevention. Also shared was that the United Methodist church in Crystal Falls will be presenting QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training on Jan. 20 at 10 a.m.
