IC farmers markets launch in July

IRON RIVER / CRYSTAL FALLS — The Iron County Farmers Markets are set to begin in July.
The Crystal Falls Farmers Market will begin on Saturday, July 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and continue each Saturday through the summer months.  It will be held at the same location as previous years, in the open field between Winks Woods and CoVantage Credit Union.
The Iron River Farmers Market will be on Wednesdays, starting July 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chamber and RV park entrance.
There will be new vendors this year in addition to the regulars and farm produce vendors.
Items available throughout the summer season may include veggies and fruits locally grown, farm fresh eggs, artesian breads, jams and jellies, alpaca fiber products, purse jewelry, table cloth weights, fairy gardens and accessories, beaded items, stitch markers, Pink Zebra wax melts, Pixy Lane clothing,  hand knit and crochet items, socks, scrubbies, t-shirts, soap sacks, natural soaps, lotions, scrubs, dream catchers, handmade candles, body-care products, books, healing stone jewelry, coat racks, accessories for nontraditional spiritual paths, Jordan Essentials, herbs and more.  
Certain certified vendors selling produce will accept WIC project fresh coupons and Senior Project Fresh coupons. Look for the signs that say, “Coupons accepted here.”
