VFW starts youth signing contest

CRYSTAL FALLS — The VFW Auxiliary Post No. 2891 has announced a new signing contest for ages 6 to 16 called “Get Excited for the Red, White, & Blue.” The contest involves producing a video of a solo vocal performance of the Star-Spangled Banner. The video must be turned in to the VFW No. 2891 Auxiliary or a local VFW Auxiliary by March 31.

“This is a new contest designed to encourage patriotism among our youth,” said VFW No.  2891 Auxiliary Youth Chair Diane Donahue. “We will explore the possibility of sharing any recordings with our local veteran homes.”
