School orientations
IRON COUNTY — Both West Iron County and Forest Park will host orientations in the coming weeks.
West Iron County will hold orientation for sixth-grade students and all new students beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16 in the high school gym.
A parent should attend this orientation with the student. Students will receive a tour, meet staff members and receive their schedules.
Schedules and locker assignments will be ready for all students in grades 7 and 8 and 9-12 on Monday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the high school office.
The first day of school at West Iron is Aug. 24, and Aug. 25 for Forest Park.
Open house for elementary students at Forest Park will be held Monday, Aug. 23 from 4-6 p.m.
Orientation for new middle and high school students will also be held on Aug. 23, with middle school orientation at 6 p.m. and high school orientation at 7 p.m.
