IRON RIVER – The West Iron County High school Symphony Orchestra participated in a Large Group Festival at Norway High School on March 15. These students performed three selections for three judges from Wisconsin State Music Association. The judges rate and critique the group on intonation, balance, technique, tone, articulation, focus and presentation. Congratulations to the Symphony Orchestra they earned all 1’s which is a Superior Rating. Awesome job on your hard work.
The West Iron County High School Symphony Orchestra toured NYC April 20-24. They participated in a music clinic at Roberts Wesleyan University. After their music clinic they explored several sights in NYC. They visited Niagara Falls, Liberty Island, Ellis Island, 911 Memorial and Top of the Rock. They were able to go to a Broadway show, see the New York Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and experience a Blue Man Group show.         This trip would not have been possible without the help of our community. The West Iron County Symphony would like to thank everyone for their support.
