WSVC lists July 4 parade winners

IRON RIVER—West Side Veterans Council announced the names of the Fourth of July parade category winners.
    • Decorated Bikes: Jezrel Garcia, first; Fable Garcia/Denali Garcia, second; Lucas Larson, third.
    • Horses: Melissa Nacius and Oliver, first; Gracie Mylchrist and Scotty, second.
    • Adult Organizations: Dave DuBrock.
    • Comic (Kids/Adults): Tribute to America.
    • Municipalities: West Iron County Fire Department, first; Caspian/Gaastra Fire Department, second; Tipler Fire Department, third.
    • Non-Profits: American Legion Auxiliary, first; WSVC, second; American Legion Riders, third.
    • Youth Organizations: Windsor Center Baton, first; Girl Scouts of Iron River, second; Tyler Rantz, third.
    • Commercial/Industrial: Riverside Plaza Early Childcare, first; Edward Jones, second; Xtreme Outdoors, third.
    • Classic/Antique Vehicle: Classic Farm Machinery of Iron County, first; Kids on Tractor Train, second.
    According to a WSVC spokesman, there was a lot of positive feedback on the parade and fireworks.
    “It was a great parade, impressive plane fly-over, and the fireworks display was truly spectacular. And again, a special thanks to the Fire Department for an outstanding job with the fireworks.
    “We also want to thank Bob Black for his announcing skills, our Parade Marshall John Testini, Seth Waters for the sound system, and so many others for helping to make the parade really special. And of course, a sincere thank you to the business and individual donations for making it all possible.”
