CRYSTAL FALLS – Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries and kids favorites.  
Kanopy parners with A24, The Criterion Collection, and PBS studios, among others to bring “thoughtful entertainment” to library patrons.  Library patrons will be able to access movie blockbusters, critically acclaimed films, movie festival films, dramatic miniseries or nonfiction series.  There are a collection of courses that can be accessed that focus on lifelong learning and personal enrichment, examples include:  tons of language courses, How to Read and Understand Shakespeare, How to Stay Fit as You Age and Money Management Skills.  Kanopy Kids is a carefully curated collection of films, series, and storybooks, from supplies like PBS Kids, Highlights and Weston Woods.  Access to Kanopy Kids is unlimited.
Kanopy can be streamed on any devices and is accessible via mobile and tablet apps for iPhone an Android as well as a desktop computer, and SmartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV, and Fire Stick.  
To create a Kanopy account, go to crystalfallslibrary.kanopy.com and select the “Add Library Card” button on the lower left.  Then add personal library card number and pin.  Create an account using preferred email, and begin streaming.  
Call the library at 906-875-3344 if you forgot your library/card or pin number, or if you do not know your library card/ or pin number.  If you would like to use Kanopy and are not a member of the Crystal Falls District Community Library, you can come Monday-Thursday 9:00-7:00, or Friday and Saturday 9:00-4:00 to obtain a Library Card at our library located at 237 Superior Avenue in Crystal Falls.  Library cards are available for free for residents of Crystal Falls, Crystal Falls Township, and Mansfield Township.  Others can purchase a non-resident card for a small fee.
