CRYSTAL FALLS — Jon “Yuka” William Anderson, 70, went to the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2020, at UP Health System Marquette after a long battle with health issues.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1949, in Crystal Falls to William and Jane (Ross) Anderson.

Jon was a lifelong resident of Crystal Falls. He graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1968. After graduation he went to NMU for a couple of years. His fi rst job was working for his father’s pop shop making pop, after his job with his dad he went to work for Good Cell Molding, then on to delivering Pepsi products, after time spent with Pepsi he moved to Tasty Bread delivering bread to the area stores. He was also owner of The Paint River Pub in Crystal Falls and then worked for Northpointe until his retirement.

Jon loved all kinds of sports especially golf, basketball, baseball, football and bowling. He was also an avid Forest Park Trojan fan and tried to get up to all the games. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and his great nieces and nephews especially if they were playing any sports.

Jon was survived by his two brothers, Mark (Betty) Anderson of Crystal Falls and Larry Ticka Anderson (Sandra Richards) also of Crystal Falls; six nieces and nephews, Karalyn and Maddie Anderson, Mike Dumke, Joleen Beebe, Bob Alder and Randy (Alisha) Alder; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews, Liz, Hunter, Brice, Tyler, Reagan, Kayleigh, Christopher, Grace, Issaha and Celia; and his extended family at Pleasant Valley.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Bill Anderson and his oldest niece, Stephanie.

Please light a candle for Jon. His family and friends will have a Celebration of Life in July.
