WIC student builds shadow boxes for vets

West Iron County senior Harrison Hogenmiller (pictured left) constructed 25 shadowboxes to honor fallen veterans and their families. The three casings inside the boxes signify the three shots fires during the 21-gun salute at military funerals and other ceremonies. The completed boxes were given to the West Side Veterans Council (Dick Weatherhold, center and Mark Begres, right), who supplied Harrison with the casings and the flag patches.
