The ninth annual Apple Festival was held Saturday, Sept. 25 to support the Beechwood Historical Society. Apple pies were in abundance (65 in total) and activities included cornhole, searching for apples in the hay, youth archery and cider-pressing.

Firnges Farm of Amasa brought alpacas for the children to pet. Overall, there were 32 vendors present.

“This fundraiser helps us to pay our insurance, and other expenses to keep the Beechwood Hall open year round, while we are restoring the historic Bethany Church next door,” read a post to the Beechwood Historical Society’s Facebook page. “There (are) no paid staff and it is a labor of love by all.”
