WICHS Symphony Orchestra gets highest rating

The West Iron County High School Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Tammie Carr, participated in the Large Group Festival on March 8, at Norway High School. They played for three adjudicators who judged them on tone, intonation, balance, technique, interpretation, expression and presentation. The Symphony performed three pieces:  Simple Gifts , Can Can from Orpheus In The Underworld, and Allegretto from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. They received a First Division Rating which is the highest rating that can be earned. (submitted photo)
