CASPIAN — The Iron County Museum held a successful Tastings, Tapas, & Tours fundraising event on June 25.
“We sold 148 tickets and raised about $4,000 for our Maintenance Fund which is used for preservation projects on our 25 historic buildings,” said Erika Sauter, Museum Director. “Folks enjoyed a variety of wines from Traverse City winery, Left Foot Charley, a huge spread of unique appetizers devised especially for our event by Main Street Café, and Wine Tasting 101 with Anna Atanassova, the owner of an up-and-coming wine bar in Iron Mountain.” 
The rain held off so attendees enjoyed guided tour experiences several exhibits including the Giovanelli Studio and Gallery, the Log Cabin Courtyard, Carrie Jacobs-Bond House and Pioneer School. 
Another special aspect of this fundraiser was the unveiling of the temporary Angeli Foods Legacy exhibit that features historical documents, photos and memorabilia from the four generations of Angeli grocers. This exhibit will remain up through the Christmas Tree Galleria and community members are encouraged to come see it for themselves.
