West Iron takes 2nd in U.P. Fireman’s Tournament

IRON COUNTY — The 127th annual U.P. Firefighters Tournament took place in Calumet this year on July 28-30. The Calumet Township Fire Department hosted the event, with the theme “Fires we fight, on a cold winter’s night”.
    There were 19 teams total who competed in the various races. Champion Fire Department took first place while West Iron County Fire Department placed second. 
    The different races included were the ladder race, the dress race, hose coupling, hose interchange, and a mystery race. West Iron took first place in the dress race, hose coupling and hose interchange race.
