Preslie and family pay it forward as chemo winds down

Preslie’s Pay It Forward Cancer Ride was held Saturday, July 31 and raised just over $2,500 on top of toy donations. The money will go to gas or gift cards for families with children who have cancer, said Preslie’s mother Nikki Mantsch. The toys will go to the toy closet at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where Preslie has been being treated. Preslie was diagnosed with leukemia in April of 2020 and will complete her chemotherapy treatments on Aug. 31 of this year, marking the end of her over two-year journey to beat the disease.  (submitted photos)
