IRON RIVER– The Iron County Golden K Club announced it has begun its annual fund drive for their Gifts From Santa Project.
The Gifts From Santa Project originally began as “Snaps With Santa” in the 1980’s.
The Golden K took over the project, re-naming it Gifts From Santa, in 2005.
This project provides Christmas presents for all nursing home residents (approximately 200) in Iron County, including the Iron County Medical Care Facility, the Iron River Care Center and the Boyington Place.
The Golden K raises funds through sales from a raffle and contributions from businesses and individuals for advertising on Holiday Placemats which are distributed to restaurants in Iron County.
Donations should be received by Oct. 1 to allow time to print the raffle tickets and the placemats and distribute them before the holidays.
Donations can be sent to the following address: Iron County Golden K P. O. Box 139 Iron River, MI  49935.
