Beverly Gustafson

IRON RIVER — Beverly A. Gustafson, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. God called her home during “peak fall color” in the Upper Peninsula where God’s splendor is reflected in the brilliant colors of the fall foliage. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, from 9 – 10:45 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River with Rev. Jose Cherian to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of the Altar Society and the Rosary Sodality will form an honor guard at the funeral mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference towards the Children’s Winter Boot Program or the Iron County Historical Museum. ARIZONA — Helen (Cagle) Ferrell, 77, formerly of Iron River, passed away on Sept. 20, 2022, at her home in Arizona. Services will be held at later date with interment in Stambaugh Cemetery.

IRON RIVER — Barbara Lois Singer, 92, formerly of Marinette, Wis., died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at the Iron River Care Center. A private family memorial has been held. Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette is assisting the family.

John Kohon

EAST LANSING — John Allen Kohon passed away peacefully on Sept. 2, 2022, and was in heaven in time to see Michigan State’s season opener with a glass of wine in the clouds. A Tribute to John will be held at Gorsline Runcimon, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing on Nov. 5 at 11 am. IRON RIVER — Craig E. Barker, 57, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wis. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Iron River Bible Church.
