IRON RIVER – The Friends of the West Iron District Library is announcing the return of the annual bake sale and chili feed, which had been suspended for two years due to Covid restrictions. These events will be held in conjunction with the Christmas in Lights celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3.
A large assortment of fresh baked goods will be on sale on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library circulation desk area. Anyone who would like to donate baked goods for the sale can take them to the library conference room on Friday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on Saturday Dec. 3 from 9 - 10 a.m.
Prior to the Christmas parade that evening, the Friends will host a chili feed from 4 - 6 p.m. in the J. Patrick White Conference Room. The public is invited to come in and enjoy a bowl of chili, including one refill, a cookie and a cup of coffee or hot chocolate for $6. Several varieties of chili will be available.
For more information about the bake sale or chili feed, call the library at 906-265-2831.
