IRON RIVER – The Iron River Police Department (IRPD) is pleased to announce that they recently received a Safe Community First Responder Grant of $6,000 from Enbridge Fueling Futures program for technology updates.
Thanks to this grant, the IRPD was able to purchase a new desktop computer along with citation books. Remaining funds were utilized to defray the cost of a new automated external defibrillator (AED).
“These monies are much appreciated and come at a time when it is necessary to upgrade our equipment as new technol-ogy in Law Enforcement occurs.” said Chief Curt T. Harrington.
