IRON RIVER — The West Iron District Library is hosting its annual twelve week reading challenge, “Let it Snow Reading Club” beginning Jan. 9. The program incentivizes winter reading for adults through a challenge to read twelve or more books in twelve weeks culminating in a grand prize drawing on April 3 and free collectable mug for every participant.
“If becoming a more avid reader is on your list of New Year’s resolutions, or if you just need a fun and challenging activity to get you through the winter months, then this reading club is for you,” said Erika Sauter, Program Coordinator.
Registrants gain an entry into a grand prize drawing for every book read during the twelve weeks. All participants also get a collectable mug and tote bag. The program also features themed reading lists and additional reading challenges for those who need reading ideas or want to add variety to their usual selections.
“Anyone ages 18 and up can sign up and participation is free,” explained Sauter. “You can also grab a calendar of the other free programs slated for January – we’ll be offering crafts for children and adults, family activities, special guest presenters and more.”
