Crystal Falls Friends  raise donations for Library

CRYSTAL FALLS - Thanks to the generosity of many local businesses and individuals, the Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library donated more than $5,000 in its first complete fiscal year to support Library programs. Some of the events supported included the Summer Reading Program, the Winter Reading Program, and Zoom meeting with authors of the U.P. Notables Books winners.
In addition to programs, the Friends also purchased Halloween books for the annual Candy Bash event, a baby changing table for the bathroom and a sidewalk sign to announce upcoming Library events. Friends’ President Janet Wagner presented to library director Evelyn Gathu a symbolic check representing the $5,225.43 in donations.
