CRYSTAL FALLS - The Journey tribute band rocks the annual Fungus Fest weekend Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. at Crystal Theatre.
Five talented musicians take the audience on a thrilling journey of some of rock’s most enduring classics made famous by one of the greatest rock bands of all time.  This high energy show recreates the sound of Journey’s biggest hits including “Faithfully, Stone in Love, Who’s Cryin’ Now, Wheel in the Sky, and Don’t Stop Believin’.”
Hailing from Traverse City, the group is composed of Tom Wyant on bass, Alexander Wyant on drums, Justin Palmer on keyboard, and Ben Harmsen on guitar. All perform vocals but frontman Jim Adkins looks, dresses, and sings lead like “Ninja.”
The group has received rave reviews from concert goers. “Adkins captures the audience with his professional performance,” says one fan. “This guy could easily be Steve Perry’s replacement in Journey.” Another Journey fan comments, “accurate back-up band, and perfect vocals. Close my eyes…this is Journey.”
Advanced tickets for the event may be purchased online at thecrystaltheatre.org, by phone at 906-875-3208, or in person 9 a.m. - noon Monday - Friday at Stage Left.
