LP Sagola wins North American doghouse competition, donates to local animal shelter

SAGOLA - Team members at LP Sagola manufacturing facility recently designed and built a custom-made doghouse that took home the grand prize in LP’s Manufacturing Day Doghouse competition. After winning, the team donated the luxury doghouse to Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron  River.

For National Manufacturing Day, which is designed to attract the next generation of manufacturers, LP hosted a doghouse-building competition that pit our 20 North American manufacturing facilities against each other. The competition allowed team members to show off their skills as they utilized LP products to design and build custom doghouses which were then donated to local animal shelters.  

LP Sagola won the competition, based on popular vote from employees companywide and public voting on LinkedIn. To celebrate, they received a meal fit for the doghouse-loving crew: hot dogs and bratwursts.
