Clarice Gagnea

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Clarice J. Gagnea, 88, formerly of Crystal Falls, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River. A luncheon will follow at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River.

LaDena Schnapper

CRYSTAL FALLS — LaDena Schnapper went on to the next leg of her journey on Sept. 1, 2022. There will be two Celebrations of Life for LaDena. The first is being organized by the greater Ethiopian Community and her family and will be held this autumn in Chicago. George Woons

GRAND RAPIDS — George J. Woons, 81, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022. Visitation was held Sept. 29 at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, with a rosary following. Mass of Christian Burial took place Sept. 30 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with visitation one-hour prior. Rev. Scott Nolan presided. Private interment at Cascade Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Sandra Mattson

IRON RIVER — Sandra “Sandy” Jean Mattson entered heaven’s gates on Sept. 23, 2022, to be embraced by her husband, unborn daughter and loved ones that had preceded her in death. Sandy was just one day shy of her 81st birthday and passed away at the Iron River Care Center. She was a loving and caring wife, 
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and nurse. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Iron River. Michael McMahon

PICKETT, Wis. — Michael W. McMahon, 89, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022. A private memorial service and burial was held, officiated by Reverend Larry Pettit. The family requests any donations be made to the Special Olympics of Oshkosh or the University of Minnesota “M” Club. The McMahon family would like to thank the ThedaCare Cancer Center of Oshkosh, Wis., and Neenah, Wis., as well as the entire ThedaCare-Neenah fifth floor staff. Your kind and compassionate care has been a blessing at such a difficult time.
