Alan Ricker

CRYSTAL FALLS —Alan Robert Ricker, 73, passed away Oct. 29, 2022, at Aspirus Hospital in Iron River from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Beechwood Historical Society Hall. Family and friends will officiate, a potluck meal will be served. A gathering for Illinois friends and family will be planned at a later date this winter. In lieu of cards or flowers, memorials may be made in the memory of Alan Robert Ricker to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at PO BOX 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.The family has trusted Nash Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Crystal Falls with Alan’s final wishes.

Lisa Smith

IRON RIVER — After a courageous battle with cancer Lisa Marie Smith, 52, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at the Omega House in Houghton. She leaves behind a large family near and far away for whom she loved dearly, as they loved her.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. In lieu of flowers, Lisa requested donations to the Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron River. IRON RIVER — Duane G. Passamani, 90, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at the Iron River Care Center. Visitation was held Nov. 5 at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. ALVIN, Wis. — Eric J. Marohl, 42, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 7, 2022. Visitation was held on Nov. 14 at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
