To the editor:
Saving those little aluminum tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee.
A little tid bit you probably didn’t know. In 2019, 277 families were turned away. What! Why? Because the 70 guest rooms were full.
They have an expansion in progress now to add an additional 14 family rooms, which should be completed this fall.
I would also like to say why I have Nichol’s Flooring and Tile in Iron River as a collection point. When their son, Shane, seven months old, he had to have heart surgery. The family also called Ronald McDonald House their home for a period of time.
I said in my last letter, it would be nice to see ½ million tabs by May 15. You not only hit ½ million but passed it by another 190,000. Kudo’s to Bob & Jerry’s Bar and their patrons. You have dropped of 140,000 tabs. Also, to Tom & Jo’s for thousands more.
Please consider donating a gift to Ronald McDonald House which will help keep families together during the most difficult times.
Your gift can be sent to Ronald McDonald House Charities, 8948 Watertown Plank Road, Milwaukee, Wis., 53226-4802.
You can drop tabs off at the following locations: Bob & Jerry’s Bar in Kingsford, Tom & Jo’s and Stephenson Marketing in Aurora, Wis., Mine Shaft Bar & Grill, Leff’s Bar and Northern Lites in Florence, Wis. and Nichol’s Flooring & Tile in Iron River.
Thank You!!
