50th Annual Tip-Up-Town of the U.P.

CHANNING – As tradition has it, the Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club will host the 50th Annual Tip-Up-Town of the U.P. on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the clubhouse.

The fishing contest will take place on Sawyer Lake or Eddey Lake with registration beginning at 7 a.m. Ice fishing contest will run until 4:30 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded in kid and adult divisions after the contest at the clubhouse. Buttons for the event are $10 each, kids 17 and under are $5 for fishing.

During the event, food and soft drinks will be available at the clubhouse from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Sportsmen’s Club will also be hosting the 2024 Gun & Knife Show on Friday, Feb. 9 from 3 – 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the clubhouse.

Admission is $5, 12 and under is free. Food will be available.
