CRYSTAL FALLS — Waters of Fortune Family Fun Day is planned for July 30 from Noon to 4 p.m. at Bewabic State Park. The whole family is welcome for a day filled with activities, entertainment, food and fun for all ages.
The day’s events will include:
A water ski show by the famous SKI-TERS from 2 - 3 p.m.
Interactive games and prizes for all, which will focus on aquatic invasive species education and identification, including zebra mussel collection, bingo, silver flying fish
Clean Waters/Clean Boats Sharpshooters, and magnet fishing from 1 - 4 p.m.
Story time provided by the Crystal Falls Library
Face painting offered by Job’s Daughters
Rock painting with the 4-H Pacesetters
Have your picture taken with Bat Man, Crawdad, and Wonder Woman from 1-1:30 p.m.
Food and beverages will be provided by The Curious Pig Restaurant and will be available for purchase
Swim in Fortune Lake and picnic in the beautiful park
Swimmers will not be allowed in the water during the ski show due to wakes caused by swimming action. Boaters are asked to refrain from approaching the skiers and to keep a good distance away for safety reasons. Be mindful and respectful of this important safety regulation. Lifeguards will be on duty at the beach and a first aid station will be available.
A Michigan Recreation Pass or Bewabic State Park Day Sticker will be required and available for purchase at the park entrance. All games, activities and entertainment are free.
Event goers must bring their own blankets and seating. No alcoholic beverages will be served.
