IRON RIVER — A new shop on Genesee Street has recently opened its doors to the community. 906 Industries, is a custom clothing and gift shop, specializing in both small and bulk orders.
The idea came when Jenny Sparapani, who started the custom creations in her home, saw the space open downtown. She and Brooke Blankenhorn now run the business at 500 W. Genessee Street.
“We can do things for everyone, including the schools,” Sparapani said. “No order is too big for us.”Bulk t-shirts can be made using DTG printing, which according to Sparapani, will last as long as the t-shirt does, as the ink is pressed right into the material.
906 Industries Facebook page has a video showing the process using that type of printing, so anyone interested in how they create their custom shirts, or any information about the store can be found by visiting the page.
While having a completed design is helpful in the process of ordering custom designs, it’s not required to order through the shop. Just a basic idea is all that is needed to kickstart the custom ordering process.
In addition to shirts, the store also has other clothing, wood signs, metal art, tumblers, coasters, license plates and more. The inventory will continue to grow as well.
