Robert Gervenak

CRYSTAL FALLS — Robert J. “Bob” Gervenak, 62, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Aspirus Hospital Wausau in Wausau, Wis.

Robert “Bob” was born Dec. 24, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Richard and Lorraine Gervenak. He married Dixie Bertola on June 19, 1977, in Crystal Falls. Bob was a welder/fabricator for the majority of his life and was currently employed at Crystal Steel House in Crystal Falls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He was also an avid woodworker and carpenter who loved passing on his knowledge to his son-in-law, Matt. His greatest joy in life was being a “Grampie” to his granddaughter, Lillian.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dixie; his daughter Lisa (Matthew) LaFleur of Grand Rapids; one granddaughter, Lillian LaFleur; brothers, Gerald (Beverly) Gervenak and David (Lisa) Gervenak; sister, Kathleen (Leslie) LaBombarb; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel; sister- in-law, Marilyn (Dan) Gervenak; and brother-in-law, Leslie (Kathleen) LaBombarb.

A memorial service for Robert will be held at a later date.
