Loretta Montambo

IRON RIVER — Loretta G. Montambo, age 68, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, at UP Health System-Marquette.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1951 in Stambaugh, the daughter of the late Evert and Edwina (Martin) Ritchie. She attended the Iron River schools and graduated.

Loretta married Roger Montambo on May 1, 1971, at the Assembly of God Church in Iron River. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

She enjoyed taking care of her garden, camping, spending time outdoors, drawing and painting.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Roger; sons, Ira Montambo and Matthew Montambo, both of Iron River, Eric (Jessica) Montambo of Sheboygan, Wis., and Wade Montambo of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren; brothers, James (Idalis) Ritchie, Brian (Kim) Ritchie and Jonathan (Lia) Ritchie, all of Long Lake, Wis., Michael (Lauyana) Ritchie of Wabeno, Wis., and Mark (Barbara) Ritchie of Blackwell, Wis.; sister, Wanda (Dennis) Schwind ofWauseon, Ohio; sister-in-law, Sawnie Ritchie of Goodman, Wis.; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Rockford Ritchie; and sister, Christine Barker.

Private services will be held.

Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
