GAASTRA — Edward “Ed” J. Rometti, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, from 10- 11:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral service will follow at noon with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to officiate. At the request of the family and the funeral home, masks are required and please respect social distancing. Per Ed’s request, the dress code for the service is blue jeans and flannel shirts. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held at noon at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase offering the Mass of Christian Burial. At the request of the family and the funeral home, masks are required and please respect social distancing. DELTONA, Fla. — Betty Dale Black, also known as Mema to most, was born March 17, 1944, in Iron River, to parents Ervin Adrian Amerson and Betty Lou Marguerte (Pollock) Amerson. She was one of five wonderful children. After a long struggle with dementia, she went in peace to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2021. A Celebration of Life for Betty will be held March 27 in Deltona, Fla.

SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. — Beverly June (Woodward) Benaglio passed away peacefully, at the age of 93, on the evening of Feb. 28, 2021. Family will attend a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
