IR’s Stoebling repeats as open champion

IRON RIVER — Ted Stoebling of Iron River repeated as champion of the Open Division at the 12th annual Tailings Disc Golf Tournament held on June 19 in Iron River.
    Other division winners included: Ryan Wille of Felch in the Advanced Division; Deanna Zeitss of Kingsford in the Advanced Women’s Division; Jared Joki of Ironwood in the Intermediate Division; and Josh Reinass of Marquette in the Recreational Division.
    Organizers said that 50 players took advantage of the great weather and the newly maintained course.
    “The city of Iron River and over 10 volunteers with lawn mowers and weed eaters worked the last two weeks to get the course ready for the tournament,” said Bill Brady.  
    Seth Senter and Ryan Wille were the tournament organizers this year. Sponsors were Senter Builds, Crystal Falls Trading Co, and Discraft.
