CRYSTAL FALLS — Betty A. Rose, 83, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. Visitation was on Sept. 17, at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. A memorial service followed at the funeral home. Pastor Cheryle Spicer officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls. Condolences to the family of Betty A. IRON RIVER — Theodore “Ted” G. Ridolphi, 85, passed away on Sunday Sept. 11, 2022, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Clarice J. Gagnea, 88, formerly of Crystal Falls, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River. A luncheon will follow at St. Agnes Catholic Church. MARQUETTE— Diane G. Dishaw, 79, formerly of Negaunee resident, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at her residence. A visitation and Mass of Christian Burial were celebrated on Sept. 13, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Negaunee with Fr. Dominic Bastianelli

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Dominic Bastianelli, 92, passed away Sept. 8, 2022. He was born on Jan. 14, 1930, in Iron River, to Anna and Sam Bastianelli and had two sisters, Mary and Rina. Dom’s early life was filled with adventures at his family’s hunting and fishing camp in Gibbs City, which featured hotly-contested bocce contests and spectacular pitch-in dinners with other families and friends who immigrated from Italy, as the Bastianellis had. They included Angeli, Argentati, Brunamonti, Bonell, Casagranda, Papin, Pierotti, Purgatorio, Ronzani, Tomassucci and Toti families. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple. JACKSON, Wis.— Betty J. Schumacher-Wren, nee Pemble, formerly of Milwaukee, died on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, Wis. at the age of 79 years. She was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Stambaugh, to the late Henry and Helen (nee Archokosky) Pemble.
