FLORENCE, WIS. – An International program on maple syrup techniques will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Florence Natural Resource and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center. Our panel of experts is Fred Hedmark and Ernie Dagostino.
These two men are maple syrup producers of varying production, so we will have all levels of production present from small to very big. Both men have been making maple syrup their entire life and are vastly knowledgeable in the production of maple syrup.
Hedmark’s Maple Ridge, who is a maple supplies dealer, will also have maple equipment and supplies on display and for sale. This program should be of interest to those considering making maple syrup, those who want to compare experience and techniques and to those curious about the process of obtaining this tasty and necessary pancake product.
If you would like to learn more about maple syrup, please join us! The program will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. in the lower level conference room at the Florence Natural Resource and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center located on the corner of U.S. 2 and Highway 101/70.
The Environmental Stewardship Program Series are put on by the Friends of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center and are open to the public and free of charge.
