CRYSTAL FALLS – The Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library gift wrapped several library books that they liked using Valentine’s Day paper and decorations.
On the outside of each book patrons find the barcode of the book written along with a hint about what kind of book it is, for example it might state Adult Mystery or Young Adult Romance. Patrons select a book of their choosing using the provided clues, check out the book, and go home to unwrap it and have their blind date with a book! These blind date books will be available until the end of Feb.
On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Friends of the Library group hosted a Valentine’s Day Trivia event. Patrons played three rounds of jeopardy-type trivia with categories such as: candy, roses, mythology, love movies, etc. The top four scorers are as pictured:  Janet Wagner, Mary Ann Keil, Browning Kittleson and Dana Kittleson. Each winner received a Valentine’s Day heart shaped basket with a Valentine’s Day gnome, Valentine’s Day socks, Valentine’s Day pretzels and Valentine’s Day Body Wash.
The Crystal Falls District Community Library is located at 237 Superior Avenue in downtown Crystal Falls. The library is open 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
