To the editor:
The Alpha Historical Museum would like to thank all the bakers and buyers in the community who contributed to the success of their 15th Annual Memorial Bake Sale.
A special thanks to the local grocers and their customers who participated in rounding-up of their purchases for donations to the Museum. Last but not least, thank you to WIKB, the Iron County Reporter and the Daily News. It’s heartening to receive the support of the community.
Community support often makes the difference in allowing non-profit groups such as the Alpha Museum to continue their efforts to preserve local history, as well as maintain a National Historic Register site such as the 1st National Bank building.
The Museum Board is grateful to those who see the merit in their efforts. You’re invited to stop in this summer when Alpha celebrates the 4th of July, or during regular summer hours Saturdays, June through August from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visits may also be arranged by calling 906.367.6449 for an appointment.
