BEECHWOOD — Fannie Sophie Gallup, 101, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Iron River Care Center. A visitation was held July 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Iron River. A memorial service followed with Pastor Charles Sheffler having officiated. Keliin, 92, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Donald Johnson

PERU, Ill. — Donald Johnson, formerly of Amasa and for the past several years of Peru, will be laid to final rest 11 a.m. CST on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery, Crystal Falls. The pastor from United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls will perform interment services at the grave site. Military rites are to be conducted by East Side Veterans, a combination of local VFW and American Legion members.

Nancy Russo

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP — Nancy Ann (James) Russo, 73, former Negaunee resident, entered eternal life at her home early Thursday morning, Aug. 18, 2022, while in the loving care of her husband and UP Home Health and Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Negaunee, with Rev. Larry Van Damme and Rev. Michael Ingold concelebrants. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until the start of Mass. MARQUETTE — Graveside committal services for Barbara Isabel (Meyer) Trevarton, will be held at the Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River on Thursday, July 20, at 11 a.m. Mrs. Trevarton, 94, passed away Jan. 7, 2023.
